Foundation Record
History
Established in 2023, the Hamilton Aggie Schools Foundation is a non-profit dedicated
to supporting excellence in the public K-12 schools in Hamilton, Alabama.
The Mayor and City Council made a ten-year commitment of $300,000 per year as seed
money for the Foundation's work to begin: supporting innovative programs, student
achievement, and great teachers and leaders in Hamilton's schools.
Mission
The Hamilton Aggie Schools Foundation promotes, supports, and enhances excellence in
the public schools of the City of Hamilton; providing funding to enrich, maintain,
and expand programs and facilities beyond the capacity of the local school district
budget.

Hamilton, supporting the growth and advancement of high-quality opportunities for our

Our Schools
Hamilton Elementary
The original structure was built in the late 1970's, with several later additions. In 2023,
they began the task of enclosing the walkways to classrooms. As of 2026, they have completed the
front of the building and it's walkways with more to come.
Hamilton Middle
The Hamilton Middle School was was originally constructed as the Hamilton Grammer School in 1938 when the previous building had burned. They opened the school on August 29, 1938.
Prior to it's construction the grammer school students met in local Hamilton churches to attend school. The walkways between the schools were added after the school opened.
Hamilton High
Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Alabama, traces its rich educational heritage back to 1895.
Originally established as the West Alabama Agricultural School, the institution has evolved alongside
the northwest Alabama community for over a century and is now a core part of the Marion County School
System.
